We had a quiet morning today, with an amble around Launceston, a town of only around 85,000. It was cool unless you were in the sun but the sun was shining brightly. We were picked up at lunchtime to go to the airport in Launceston to fly first to Melbourne and then onto Adelaide.

I have to admit to being a little anxious as we boarded our Boeing 737 with all the scares over the crashes of a more up to date version of this plane. It just makes you stop and think.

All was well however and we took off on time without incident and landed a bit early. That was a bit of a relief as we only had 45 minutes until our next flight took off! We were relieved to find our departure gate opposite the arrival one so no chasing around the airport hunting for where we needed to be! Having got sat down to wait to board we were a bit disappointed to hear that we were going to be 30 minutes late taking off as the crew hadn’t yet arrived on their flight from Sydney! It was actually later than that by the time we left, so we finally got into our hotel well into the evening.
